  1. Bob and Erika said: We started our journey with a flight from Los Angeles to New York where we stayed for three days of sightseeing. We were joint by brethren from our local congregation: Lou and Vivian Fakhoury, John and Dolores Reid, Nancy Murphy and her father Joe Andrysek.
In Manhattan we visited the Empire State Building. From the 86th floor Observation Deck (102 stories tall) we still had to look up to the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. Later when visiting the Twin Towers we looked down unto the Empire State Building from the 107 floor (110 stories tall), Top of the World Observation Deck. What a sight, looking down on all of Manhattan and the greater New York City area!
Next we visited Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty. That evoked many emotional memories for Erika and me to the time when we arrived as immigrants by ship, being greeted to the United States by the Statue of Liberty.
We finished our visit to New York with the Siegfried and Roy Show at Radio City Music Hall. What a show! What an experience!
The next day we were on our way with Olympic Airways to Athens, Greece
